The bank manager is returning a large sum of money to a former classmate of M‘s. Bond is making reference to the seemingly innate Swiss-banker ability to hide large sums of money, especially sums stolen from the Jews in World War II. Sharp dialogue, somewhat uncommon of late in the Bond series.
