The original pre-credits teaser, written by Richard Maibaum, for Thunderball. It takes place in a Hong Kong fan-tan parlor—actually a strip joint—where a beautiful girl dressed from head to toe like a peacock sits in a golden cage above the main room. Bond gives her the eye and later follows her into a dressing room, where he enters into polite conversation and then slugs her in the mouth. Her peacock head comes off, revealing a man—the very enemy agent Bond is searching for.

The teaser was abandoned in favor of a similarly themed sequence that takes place at the Château d’Anet in France
