(April 15, 1948–November 18, 2003): American film composer and two-time Academy Award nominee who scored Licence to Kill.
A native of New York City, Kamen received both his Oscar nominations for Best Original Song: “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) and “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?” from Don Juan DeMarco (1994), sharing each nomination with Bryan Adams and Robert John Lange. Kamen made his motion picture composing debut on the action thriller The Next Man (1976), which starred Bond veterans Sean Connery and Adolfo Celi, and featured 007 stunt veteran Bob Simmons.
