MADAGASCAR BLACK SCORPION

The species of scorpion employed by Mr. Wint (Bruce Glover) to kill Dr. Tynan, the unfortunate South African dentist/smuggler in Diamonds Are Forever.

For this sequence, which was shot in the desert outside Las Vegas, Glover was shown a selection of twenty-five scorpions, including the large Madagascar variety and its smaller yet more deadly California cousins. Fortunately, the little buggers were without their stingers, which had been conveniently clipped.
