SHAW, MAXWELL

(February 21, 1929–August 21, 1985): Bespectacled British actor who portrayed the foreman of signals in the communications room of the British Secret Service in London in Dr. No. He contacts MI6 radio security control when communication is broken with Commander John Strangways (Tim Moxon) in Jamaica.

A London native, Shaw made his motion picture debut as Harry Jorgen in director Wilfred Eades’s Confess, Killer (1957), which also featured Bill Nagy (Mr. Midnight in Goldfinger).
