The call of the famous ape-man, imitated expertly by James Bond (ROGER MOORE) during his vine-swinging escape from Kamal Khan‘s (LOUIS JOURDAN) army of trackers in Octopussy. Practically unknown in the early films of the series, this comical reference to another film’s signature theme became a common element in the Roger Moore Bond movies (e.g., the “Lawrence of Arabia” theme in The Spy Who Loved Me and the “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and “The Magnificent Seven” themes in Moonraker).
