AREA FINANCIAL REPORTS

International business briefing conducted by Ernst Stavro Blofeld at SPECTRE‘s Paris headquarters in Thunderball. When called upon by Blofeld, the participating agents tally their recent receipts from various SPECTRE operations.

At this meeting we hear from Agent No. 5 (250,000 pounds sterling as a consultation fee for the British train robbery), No. 7 (40 million yen for the blackmail of double agent Matsu Fugiwa), No. 10 (3 million francs for the assassination of Peringe, the French anti-matter specialist who defected to the Russians), and No. 11 ($2.3 million for the distribution of Red Chinese narcotics in the United States collected by No. 9 and No. 11). The latter transaction is considered suspect by Blofeld, who fingers No. 9 as an embezzler. Calmly sitting at his desk while his partner, No. 11, sweats it out, the agent is then electrocuted by Blofeld. In SPECTRE, justice is swift.
