Doomed nuclear physicist, portrayed by Cyril Shaps, who, with his partner Professor Markovitz (MILO SPERBER), is responsible for the design of a nuclear-submarine tracking system in The Spy Who Loved Me. Working for fanatical billionaire shipping magnate Karl Stromberg (CURT JURGENS), Bechmann and Markovitz will each receive $10 million for their work. However, once they leave Atlantis, their helicopter is blown out of the sky by Stromberg, who cancels the transfer of the $20 million.
