CLAVELL, MICHAELA

British actress, the daughter of bestselling author and screenwriter James Clavell, who was introduced as Penelope Smallbone, new assistant to Miss Moneypenny (Lois Maxwell) in Octopussy.

Initially, it was thought that Clavell would replace Maxwell as M’s secretary, but she did not return in A View to a Kill. When Timothy Dalton took over the role of Bond in The Living Daylights, he was greeted by an entirely new Moneypenny, portrayed by Caroline Bliss. Octopussy is Clavell’s only feature credit.
