DEAN, JIMMY

(August 10, 1928–June 13, 2010): American musician, actor, and entrepreneur who portrayed kidnapped billionaire Willard Whyte in Diamonds Are Forever. Probably better known for founding the company that created “Jimmy Dean Pure Pork Sausage” than his acting career, Dean nevertheless made his feature film debut in the Bond movie.

Dean’s number-one hit song “Big Bad John” was adapted into a feature film of the same name in 1990, with Dean playing his only other feature part as Cletus Morgan.
