Sinister Bangkok-based industrialist and the head of Hai Fat Enterprises, portrayed by Hawaiian Chinese actor Richard Loo in The Man with the Golden Gun. Determined to acquire a monopoly on solar energy, Hai Fat hires Francisco Scaramanga (Christopher Lee) to kill a British solar energy scientist and steal the revolutionary “solex agitator” device.
When Bond (Roger Moore) tries to impersonate Scaramanga, he’s captured by Hai Fat’s minions and brought to a karate school. Agent 007 holds his own with some formidable kickboxers until he escapes. Meanwhile, Hai Fat is assassinated by Scaramanga, who steals the solex for himself.
