A tarot card featured in the deck of the mysterious Solitaire (Jane Seymour) in Live and Let Die. To Solitaire, it symbolizes the potential of romance and love between two strangers.

In order to trick her into switching allegiances, James Bond (Roger Moore) brings a rigged deck of tarot cards to her sanctuary on the island of San Monique. When asked to pick a card, Solitaire picks the Lovers, unaware that the deck consists entirely of Lovers cards. Convinced that she is destined to lose her virginity and her power to Bond, Solitaire gives in. You’d think that a seer of her power would know better. In any case, this plot device would never work today, for obvious reasons.
