PEGASUS

Contributed by: The Complete James Bond Movie Encyclopedia by Steven Jay Rubin

Thoroughbred racehorse owned by Max Zorin (CHRISTOPHER WALKEN) in A View to a Kill. After observing his victory at an English stakes race, Bond (ROGER MOORE) joins fellow agent Sir Godfrey Tibbett (PATRICK MACNEE) at Zorin’s horse sale in France.

Posing as horse breeder James St. John-Smythe, 007 discovers that Zorin has been injecting steroids into Pegasus, the amount of which is being determined by a microchip surgically implanted in his leg. The natural horse steroids are designed to overcome the leg fatigue that occurs in a race.
