SCHIAVELLI, VINCENT

Contributed by: The Complete James Bond Movie Encyclopedia by Steven Jay Rubin

(Brooklyn, New York, USA, November 10, 1948— December 26, 2005) American character actor who portrayed professional hitman Dr. Kaufman in Tomorrow Never Dies, Schiavelli has been in many films since he first gained notice as one of Jack Nicholson’s fellow denizens of the nut ward in the film that won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1975—One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. (Remember him trying to bait a hook on the fishing boat?) He was also quite memorable as the subway haunt who helps Patrick Swayze perfect his “poltergeist” capability in Ghost. Known to be quite the epicurean.
