(August 22, 1971– ): American actor of Korean descent who portrayed North Korean agent and henchman Zao in Die Another Day. Prior to the James Bond experience, he made a strong impression as Johnny Tran in the summer 2001 car-racing film The Fast and the Furious, a surprise hit. He played another North Korean villain—terrorist Kang Yeonsak, who launches an attack on the White House—in Antoine Fuqua’s action thriller Olympus Has Fallen (2013).
A native of Washington, DC, Yune made his motion picture debut as Kazuo Miyamoto in director Scott Hicks’s period drama Snow Falling on Cedars (1999).
