A book that became one of author Ian Fleming’s primary reference guides during his vacations in Jamaica. In 1952, searching for a name with which to christen the hero of his new novel, Fleming noticed the simple name of the book’s author, ornithologist James Bond. The name struck a chord, and the world’s greatest secret agent was born.
