CROW, SHERYL

(February 11, 1962–     ): American singer who performed the soulful title song in Tomorrow Never Dies.

A native of Kennett, Missouri, Crow was nominated for a Golden Globe for her Bond song, sharing the Best Original Song nomination with Mitchell Froom (they lost to “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic).

Her music made its film debut in director Michael Fields’s thriller Bright Angel (1990), on which she sang “Heal Somebody.” She was nominated for a second Golden Globe for Best Original Song for “Try Not to Remember” from Home of the Brave (2006). She also sang the title tune “Real Gone” in the Pixar animated feature Cars (2006).
