(January 16, 1949–     ): Curvaceous British actress, a favorite of fantasy film fans, who portrayed Naomi, assistant and helicopter pilot to Karl Stromberg (Curt Jurgens) in The Spy Who Loved Me. The cat-and-mouse game between Bond (Roger Moore) in his trick Lotus submarine car and Naomi in her Jet Ranger helicopter is one of the film’s highlights, capped delightfully by her knowing wink in the heat of battle.

Born in Windsor, Berkshire, England, Munro made her credited motion picture debut as Madame Vendonne in director James Clavell’s period crime film Where’s Jack? (1969). Genre fans embraced her for her performance as Margiana in Gordon Hessler’s The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973), where she competed for screen time with Ray Harryhausen’s marvelous special effects.
