MISSION IMPOSSIBLE II Pre-Title Sequence Decoded!

Chimera!  Bellerophon! Viruses, antidotes, scientists, the black plague, kids playing and singing, airplanes, and multiple kinds of masks, and who is really who?! These are some of the key parts of the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE II pre-title sequence.

If you don’t know the back story to the Greek mythology figures Chimera and Bellerophon, take a listen to this episode to find out why these two figures are used as the codenames for the virus and its antidote.

Plus, you have to love call-backs to the black plague in a modern movie.

So, Dan and Tom decode this pre-title sequence.  We think it is an underrated sequence and does a great job of setting up the rest of the movie.
