British heraldry expert at the London College of Arms, portrayed by George Baker in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Bray is busy determining whether fugitive SPECTRE chief Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Telly Savalas) has a claim to the royal bloodline of the de Bleuchamp family.

Sensing an opportunity to apprehend Blofeld, Bond learns all he can from Bray about heraldry, then takes on Bray’s identity for a trip to Blofeld’s Swiss hideaway of Piz Gloria. His mission: to convince Blofeld to visit the de Bleuchamp ancestral home in Augsburg for research purposes. There the British Secret Service can arrest him. Unfortunately, Bond’s cover is blown during his stay in the Alps after he begins bed-hopping among the luscious allergy patients that Blofeld is brainwashing.
