DEL TORO, BENICIO

(February 19, 1967–     ): Academy Award–winning Puerto Rican character actor who portrayed deadly Dario, one of Franz Sanchez’s killers in Licence to Kill.

Born in San Germán, Puerto Rico, Del Toro won his Oscar for Best Supporting Actor when he played an honest Mexican policeman in director Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic (2000). He made his feature film acting debut as Duke the Dog-Faced Boy in Big Top Pee-Wee (1988).

Now one of Hollywood’s most popular actors, Del Toro’s credits include: The Usual Suspects (1995), Sin City (2005), The Wolfman (2010), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Sicario (2015), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018).
