HEMINGWAY HOUSE

Contributed by: The James Bond Movie Encyclopedia by Steven Jay Rubin

Landmark in Key West, Florida, where M (Robert Brown) confronts revenge-crazed James Bond (Timothy Dalton) in Licence to Kill. M’s top agent has not reported for his next assignment in Istanbul. Worried that Bond will insist on revenge after drug runners mutilate his CIA chum Felix Leiter (David Hedison) and murder Leiter’s bride, Della Churchill (Priscilla Barnes), M realizes that the only way to stop 007 is to revoke his license to kill. That doesn’t work either, as Bond defies his superior, fights off a couple of fellow British agents, and disappears.

Located at 907 Whitehead Street in Key West, the Hemingway House is where American author Ernest Hemingway spent the last thirty years of his life, until his death in 1961.
