General Orlov‘s (STEVEN BERKOFF) expert jewelry forger, portrayed by Peter Porteous, in Octopussy. Working out of the atmospheric Kremlin Art Repository, Lenkin pleads with Orlov to retrieve an original Fabergé egg stolen from the repository and illegally placed on the auction block in Britain. Lenkin needs the egg because an unscheduled inventory of all art objects will soon take place.

Meanwhile, General Gogol (WALTER GOTELL) has been investigating General Orlov and has traced his illegal activities to Lenkin. Arriving at the repository one night with Borchoi (GABOR VERNON), the curator of Leningrad’s Hermitage Museum, Orlov hands the priceless Romanoff Star to Borchoi. He scrutinizes it and then smashes it onto the floor, where it breaks into its obviously glass fragments. Lenkin is then arrested by KGB agents.
