Line of US space shuttles, one of which is on loan to the British and hijacked off a Royal Air Force 747 airliner in the pre-credits teaser of Moonraker. Billionaire aerospace entrepreneur Hugo Drax (Michael Lonsdale) later admits to Bond (Roger Moore) that the vessel was hijacked to replace another Moonraker in his shuttle fleet that developed a fault during assembly. Its sister ship Moonraker 6 carries James Bond (Roger Moore) and Holly Goodhead (Lois Chiles) to Drax’s space station when they stow away on the shuttle.

They later steal Moonraker 5 and use its nose-mounted laser cannon to destroy the toxic-gas cylinders that could destroy all human life on Earth.
