The unfortunate Yugoslavia-based British agent, portrayed by production manager Bill Hill, who is murdered by Donald Grant (Robert Shaw) in the restroom of the Zagreb train station in From Russia with Love. Grant then assumes his identity, stealing his wallet, hat, briefcase, and business cards. The masquerade works, and Bond is tricked into thinking that SPECTRE’s deadliest assassin is a helpful Brit.
