Voluptuous Las Vegas floozy portrayed by Lana Wood in Diamonds Are Forever. When James Bond (Sean Connery) arrives in the Whyte House casino, she dumps her boyfriend, Maxie (Ed Call), who’s broke, and hooks up with the well-heeled Bond. After introducing herself, Bond replies, “Named after your father, perhaps.”
Following a successful night at the tables, after which Bond gives his new girlfriend a sizable bonus, the two arrive at 007’s hotel suite, only to be greeted by three hoods from the diamond smuggling syndicate Bond has been investigating. Two of the goons literally throw poor Plenty out the window. When she lands in a swimming pool, Bond quips, “Exceptionally fine shot,” to which one of the hoods (Marc Lawrence) replies, “I didn’t know there was a pool down there.” Bond is then free to find Tiffany Case (Jill St. John) waiting for him in bed.
In a subsequent scene in the original script, Plenty actually returns to the hotel suite and finds Tiffany Case’s purse, along with the address of her house in Las Vegas. This sequence was cut from the finished film, so audiences never really knew how Plenty turned up dead in Tiffany’s pool.
