Tough casino boss at the Whyte House Hotel, in Diamonds Are Forever, who is secretly working for Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Charles Gray). Portrayed by character actor Bruce Cabot, Saxby is a no-nonsense hoodlum who continually fails to get the real diamonds back from Bond (SEAN CONNERY).

When Blofeld vacates the Whyte House, Saxby tries to assassinate his ex-boss, Willard Whyte (JIMMY DEAN). His sharpshooting is not very sharp, and he’s killed by CIA agents who, along with 007, liberate Whyte from his desert home. When Whyte hears that Saxby was the sniper, he yells, “Bert Saxby? Tell him, he’s fired!”

It is also Saxby’s voice that Bond imitates during a conversation with Blofeld—the imitation aided by Q‘s voice simulator.
