The Bond family estate in the Scottish Highlands, which becomes a battleground at the conclusion of Skyfall. Determined to prevent the seemingly unstoppable Silva (Javier Bardem) from exacting his revenge on M (Dame Judi Dench), Bond (Daniel Craig) hatches a plan to lead the cyberterrorist and his murderous minions to Skyfall. Q (Ben Whishaw) and Tanner (Rory Kinnear) leave Silva an electronic trail to follow, while Bond transports M to Skyfall in his vintage Aston Martin DB5 with modifications. There they meet the property’s long-serving gamekeeper, Kincade (Albert Finney), who helps 007 plant a series of booby traps. Considering the kind of firepower Silva has at his disposal, it’s never clear why Bond doesn’t hide a company of MI6 agents on the property. However, Bond and Kincade manage to kill off most of Silva’s men amid a firestorm of destruction—some of which wounds M, leading to the film’s downbeat conclusion in a deserted chapel on the property.
