They include Honey Ryder’s belt and knife from Dr. No, Donald Grant’s strangler watch from From Russia with Love, and the miniature rebreather from Thunderball. Director Peter Hunt spotlights each keepsake while John Barry plays the appropriate theme music over each one.

The scene was yet another of screenwriter Richard Maibaum’s references to the rich 007 history that was taking a turn with the introduction of a new James Bond.
