(July 12, 1961–     ; birth name: Carol Gatehouse): Statuesque blonde British actress, the granddaughter of composer Sir Arthur Bliss (Things to Come), who made her debut as the new Miss Moneypenny—M’s proud but love-starved secretary—in Timothy Dalton’s first 007 film, The Living Daylights. Bliss reprised the role in Licence to Kill (1989). A native of Hammersmith, London, Bliss made a high-profile debut as Lady Diana Spencer in the TV movie Charles & Diana: A Royal Love Story (1982), working with fellow Bond players Christopher Lee and Charles Gray.
