Ferrara meets Bond (ROGER MOORE) in Cortina D’Ampezzo, a resort city in the Italian Alps where Bond hopes to find Emile Locque (MICHAEL GOTHARD), the man he spied paying off Cuban hit man Hector Gonzales (STEFAN KALIPHA) for the murder of the Havelocks. Ferrara is later killed by Locque, who, to confuse Bond, leaves the white dove symbol of Milos Columbo (TOPOL) on the body.
