SPECTRE operations chief portrayed by Walter Gotell in From Russia with Love. He’s first seen in the pre-credits teaser, when he congratulates Donald Grant (Robert Shaw) on the murder of the phony James Bond. Later, he escorts Rosa Klebb (Lotte Lenya) around SPECTRE Island’s training area, and he eventually leads the motorboat attack on Bond (Sean Connery) and Tania Romanova (Daniela Bianchi). He also kills SPECTRE master planner Kronsteen (Vladek Sheybal) with a kick from his poisoned shoe blade.
