Trio of Jamaican assassins, portrayed by Eric Coverly, Charles Edghill, and Henry Lopez, who work for the title character in Dr. No. They’re the first villains introduced in the Bond series, taking down British undercover operative John Strangways (Tim Moxon) in the film’s opening scene. Their repeated attempts to kill James Bond (Sean Connery) go awry, however, and their last failed attempt, trying to run 007 off the road with their hearse, sends the vehicle over a cliff outside Kingston. As Bond quips, “They were on their way to a funeral.”
