DUBIN, GARY

(May 5, 1959–October 8, 2016): Kid actor in Diamonds Are Forever who competes against Tiffany Case (Jill St. John) to win a stuffed dog in the water gun concession at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. “I saw the whole thing. The machine’s fixed! Who’s she? Your mother?!” the boy protests to the barker.

Probably best known for playing Danny Bonaduce’s friend Punky Lazaar on the TV series The Partridge Family (6 episodes, 1971–1974), Dubin went on to play one of the hapless teenagers victimized by Bruce the Shark in Jaws 2 (1978).

A Los Angeles native, Dubin made his uncredited feature film debut in director Delbert Mann’s romantic comedy Fitzwilly (1967), which also featured an uncredited Laurence Naismith (Diamonds Are Forever).
