Circus daredevil, portrayed by veteran Bond stuntman Richard “Dicky” Graydon, who flies out of a cannon in Octopussy. It is within the base of this cannon that General Orlov (Steven Berkoff) and Kamal Khan (Louis Jourdan) have placed an atomic device that will be exploded on a US Air Force base in West Germany. As the timer of the bomb counts down, Francisco and his cannon are rolled into the circus big top. However, his entrance is upstaged when James Bond (Roger Moore) arrives in a clown’s suit. As the crowd watches, Bond disarms the A-bomb, after which Francisco looks out from the cannon’s barrel and says, impatiently, “Now?”—one of the film’s best laughs.
