Southeastern European country on the Adriatic Sea that plays host to a high-stakes no-limit poker tournament in Casino Royale. Ten players, including James Bond (Daniel Craig), Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), and Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) pay the $10 million buy-in, with the understanding that once that stake is exhausted, it will cost another $5 million to buy back in. It’s a winner-take-all tournament, with a prize of more than $100 million. Since Le Chiffre has squandered the funds entrusted to him by rebel leader Steven Obanno (Isaach De Bankolé) in a disastrous stock play, he must win. Bond is determined to stop him.
