Ruthless member of the Janus crime syndicate, portrayed by German actor Gottfried John in GoldenEye. As cover for his more sinister operations, Ourumov has a day job: he’s head of the Russian Space Division, which controls orbiting satellite operations.

With the aid of assassin Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen), Ourumov steals a secret helicopter prototype from a French missile frigate in Monte Carlo, then uses it to penetrate airspace above the Space Weapons Control Center at Severnaya, Russia. Inside, while Onatopp mows down the support staff, Ourumov inserts the “GoldenEye” computer device, which directs a space satellite to attack Severnaya with an electromagnetic pulse that obliterates the center. It’s only a test—next time Janus is going to attack England.
