Afghan drug wholesaler, portrayed by Tony Cyrus in The Living Daylights, who makes a huge opium-for-diamonds deal with arms dealer Brad Whitaker (JOE DON BAKER) and renegade Russian General Georgi Koskov (JEROEN KRABBÉ). Only the Afghans make anything on the deal.
The drugs themselves are destroyed when Bond (TIMOTHY DALTON) and Kara (MARYAM D’ABO) hijack a Soviet transport plane and dump the opium bundles out of the cargo hatch. The Soviets also lose the $50 million advance they gave Whitaker for an arms shipment that was turned into diamonds for the freelance opium deal. Koskov is captured and sent to Siberia.
