(aka Commander Talbot) The captain, portrayed by British actor Bryan Marshall, of the British nuclear submarine Ranger in The Spy Who Loved Me. When the Ranger is swallowed by the Liparus supertanker, Talbot and his men are taken prisoner by Stromberg‘s (CURT JURGENS) well-armed crew.

They’re later joined by two other sub crews—one American (from the USS Wayne), and one Russian (from the Potemkin). Freed by Bond (ROGER MOORE), Talbot leads his men against the tanker’s defenses, but he is killed in an abortive assault on the impregnable control room.
