FORNOF, J. W. “CORKEY”

Contributed by: The James Bond Movie Encyclopedia by Steven Jay Rubin

(December 5, 1945–     ): Aerial stunt coordinator, pilot, engineer, and inventor who flew his Acrostar Bede mini jet in Octopussy, and later took over aerial action chores on Licence to Kill. On the latter film, Fornof coordinated the sequence in which Bond (Timothy Dalton) captures the getaway plane of Sanchez (Robert Davi), 007’s water-skiing stunt behind the seaplane, and the crop-duster hijinks of Pam Bouvier (Carey Lowell).

Fornof was originally hired to fly twin mini jets in Moonraker, but the stunt sequence was canceled when the riverbed feeding Venezuela’s Angel Falls went dry.
