Tiny island located in the middle of the Bosphorus in The World Is Not Enough. It’s the secret hideout of Renard (ROBERT CARLYLE) and Elektra King (SOPHIE MARCEAU). From there, they plan to commandeer a Russian Viktor Three-Class submarine and detonate a nuclear device that will destroy Istanbul and disrupt the Bosphorus for decades, enabling their oil pipeline to become the sole oil route in the region. Bond (PIERCE BROSNAN), M (DAME JUDI DENCH), and Dr. Christmas Jones (DENISE RICHARDS) are brought there when they’re captured. Zukovsky (ROBBIE COLTRANE) goes there to seek revenge for the death of his nephew. He kills his duplicitous assistant, Mr. Bullion, but is, in turn, killed by Elektra—but not before he helps Bond escape from Elektra’s neck-wrenching torture device.
