STEAK PIZ GLORIA

Contributed by: The Complete James Bond Movie Encyclopedia by Steven Jay Rubin

James Bond’s (GEORGE LAZENBY) initial dinner entree at Blofeld‘s (TELLY SAVALAS) Swiss mountain hideaway in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Agent 007, posing as heraldry expert Sir Hilary Bray and dressed remarkably in a Scottish kilt, eats with a group of gorgeous international allergy patients who are very curious about his profession. He then proceeds to bore them with a two-hour lecture on the ins and outs of British heraldry, history, and the definitions of titles and ranks.

Seated next to Bond is Ruby Bartlett (ANGELA SCOULAR), who, unable to tell 007 where she is staying in the allergy institute, pulls up the skirt of his kilt and writes her room number (No. 8) in lipstick on his inner thigh. Asked by a very suspicious Irma Bunt (ILSE STEPPAT) if there is something wrong, Bond excuses himself from the table because of “a slight stiffness.”
