Jewelry treasure that is among the many priceless items stolen by General Orlov (STEVEN BERKOFF) from the Kremlin Art Repository, in Octopussy, and replaced by forgeries designed by Lenkin (PETER PORTEOUS). The horde is being used by Orlov and his partner, Kamal Khan (LOUIS JOURDAN), to finance a scheme to explode an atomic bomb on a U.S. Air Force base in West Germany. The forgery is later exposed by General Gogol‘s (WALTER GOTELL) consultant, Borchoi (GABOR VERNON), from Leningrad’s Hermitage Museum.
In the meantime, James Bond (ROGER MOORE) steals the real Romanoff Star when he comes across the jewelry that Kamal has hidden aboard a circus-train car in East Germany—a duplicate car, with the A-bomb hidden in the base of the circus cannon, has been attached to Octopussy‘s (MAUD ADAMS) train. By showing her the star, 007 is able to convince Octopussy that she’s been double-crossed by Kamal.
