The CIA’s plan to give smuggler Tiffany Case (Jill St. John) a cache of diamonds at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Diamonds Are Forever. Once she has the diamonds, Felix Leiter (Norman Burton) plans to tail her to the next stop on the smuggling pipeline. Despite a net of CIA men, Tiffany gives them the slip when she sneaks out the back exit of the Zambora transformation show.

Fortunately, Bond (Sean Connery) finds Tiffany at her desert house, where Plenty O’Toole (Lana Wood) has been drowned. Tiffany then helps Bond track the diamonds to an airport locker, where Bert Saxby (Bruce Cabot) picks them up and later gives them to Professor Dr. Metz (Joseph Furst) at a gas station. While Tiffany distracts Metz, Bond sneaks into the back of his van and takes a trip out to the Tectronics lab, where Blofeld (Charles Gray), posing as the lab’s billionaire owner, Willard Whyte (Jimmy Dean), has supervised the construction of a laser satellite capable of blackmailing the world.
